Welcome to the website of Simon Hanhart. Simon is a music producer, mixer and engineer based in London.

Simon began his musical career by playing in bands, in and around London, whilst still at school. Having been lucky enough to do a few recording sessions he found that he loved being in the studio and on leaving school managed to land an assistant engineer position at the legendary Marquee Studios in London’s West End. There he worked with, and learn from, many top producers and engineers including Mutt Lange and Gus Dudgeon.

Since those early days he has gone on to score many chart, and critically acclaimed, successes in his own right. On productions ranging from rock, metal and pop through to symphonic classical Simon has worked with, amongst others, Asia, Marillion, McFly, David Bowie, SikTh, London Symphony Orchestra, Yngwie Malmsteen, Cerys Matthews and Iron Maiden’s Adrian Smith. He also co-produced, engineered and mixed one of the best selling UK singles of all time; the number 1 “Perfect Day” which featured, amongst others, Elton John, Bono and Lou Reed and sold in excess of 2 million copies.

Simon has amassed years of experience working in some of the world's best studios, in the Europe and the USA, and with some of the world's finest musicians. He plays the guitar and has his own Pro Tools based production studio.
